Final Results

The class is finally done with our life size cutout projects and they look great. We turned them in on Friday, April 25 to be graded by Mr.Vickers. Even though it took a great deal of time to complete them it was worth it. All we had started with was a picture that we had taken of ourselves then we took that picture and printed it out with the plotter so it was life size. Then we had the task off gluing the picture to a foam board. Sounds easier than it actually is because you have to be very careful to not get bumps or air pockets between the picture and the board. After we let them dry we started cutting them out with exact-o knives and cutting boards. This step took a long time to do because we had to be very precise with our cuts. After that we needed to paint the edges of the foam bored to match the pictures so they'd look more realistic. We just used normal paint and paintbrushes but this to also was time consuming because we had to mix colors to get the right match for out pictures. Finally we let them dry and we were finished. Now all that was left to do was take pictures of the results which you can see we did above.

Almost Done

The cutout of Emily, the real Tiffany, the cutouts of me, Jacob,Tiffany, and Megan. Tiffany and my cutout.
Which one is the real Emily??
These photos are from last week's imaging technology class. The power had just gone off and we were trying to find something to do with out electricity so we took pictures and continued trying to paint the edges of our cutouts so they look more realistic. They are due on April 25 completed. So today I finished mine up and it is currently drying so it will be ready by then. We plan to take a group picture of the class and each of our cutouts. Mr.Vickers also said we might take them outside and take pictures of them. I'll post some pictures of the final results later.Bye,Bye.

Imaging Technology

I created this blog for my Imaging Technology class so that I can post and show what l have accomplished in this class. Later on I would also like to use it as a web based portfolio for future jobs perhaps. This blog is mainly going to be used for showing a learning process rather than achieving perfection in every photo. Above you can see some of the pictures we have taken to prepare for our famous person cutout project which I will talk more about later.
