Old Tyme Me

This was a big project for me because after I made my old tyme picture we also had to frame it.
This took a while because we had to go through a step by step process to do it correctly. We sanded the wooden frame, stained the frame, cut and washed the glass, cut a backing for it, put the nails in place to hold it, glued a tight backing to keep dust out, drilled nails into it, tied a wire to hang it up, and signed it.

Roses...In A Can

I made this picture of Roses in a can by using a pictures that I already had took of an aluminum can and a bouquet of roses. I made the roses transparent and then fitted to the can. Then I simply added the text to it. I think this picture could fool people fi they don't pay close attention.

Flaky Paint

For this project I took a picture that I had taken of my friends rolling down the hill. You can see an old looking house now but originally it looked brand new. I achieved these results by using tools that I learned in Adobe Fun.

I Didn't Mean To Punch Her In The Face

The first picture is a picture that I took of my sister, my cousins, and me at a pageant we were in. For Adobe Fun with Photo Shop Element's Insult to Injury Chapter I chose project three called Gratuitous Violence. So I took this picture and using the guidance from the book was able to make it look like my cousin got in a fight when she most definitely didn't.

After opening my image I made a lasso selection around her right eye. Then I held down the Alt. key and drug the lasso tool around it . Then I selected feather and entered 5 for the pixels radius to soften the selection.

I then chose the gradient tool with the foreground to background preset and multiply mode in the options bar. After that I set the opacity to about 75%.

After deselecting the eye I chose the filter button, in the top of tool bars, then from there distort, and liquify. The a box appeared and I selected the bloat tool to make her lips puffy in a couple places. Then I used the pucker tool on the black eye to make it look slightly closed. Then by using the warp tool on the upper lid of his left unblackened eye.

Then I made a new layer of my work so far. Then I used the lasso tool to select an area on her cheek and feathered it.

Then I found a low saturation red in the color picker for the foreground color. I chose the brush tool and loaded the faux finish brushes. Then I used the Plastic Wrap- Dark 40 pixels preset. Then I just applied the brush in a normal mode at 50% opacity with a few clicks.

I switched to a brighter red and a smaller brush and dabbed darker bloody spots in the center of the scrape. The book said that I could make copies if the layers to add more abrasions but I just started over to make the other abrasion. Then I saved it in Photo Shop format so all of the layers stayed in tact.

I think that this picture look believable and will make people look very closely at it when they see it.

Strangely Distorted

This final project was for Adobe Fun With Photo Shop Elements chapter four. I used a picture that I took of my friend just looking normal but using the techniques that I learned in this chapter I was able to make her look strangely distorted.

1.After opening the picture of your choice choose filter from the top tool bar then distort then pinch as shown in the above screen shot. This is just an option you have the choice to use. For my picture I chose not to use this effect.

2.Choose the eliptical marquee tool to select her right eye including her upper and lower eyelid. Again select filter, distort, and pinch.

3. After a box like the one showed above appears use about 65% or any amount you prefer to pinch the eye.

4.Next drag the selesction marquee over to the other eye(you can do this with the selection tool active). Now choose filter, distort, and spherize tools.

5.The setting is about 75% for the amount and choose vertical only for the mode.

6.After selecting the nose including some of the upper lip and cheeks with the lasso tool. Again choose filter, distort, and twirl.

7.When a box like the one above appears adjust the settings to make her look like she has a broken nose.

8.After selecting the mouth along with some exra skin around it and apply the filter, distort, and wave tool.

9.When a box like the one above appears just play with the different sliders to achieve the effect you like best to make her mouth look distorted.

10. Now your done and the finished results make you look twice at the picture you have created.

Wow The Years Just Fly By

This final project was for chapter three. I made my friend look old when actually she isn't even close to being old. I used the.burn tool to make her teeth look rotten, the brush tool to color her hair, and the desaturated tool to give her a paler complexion. from this chapter to achieve this final picture.

Where Did He Go?

I did this project for my chapter two final for the Adobe Fun with Photo shop Elements Book. The top picture was of A.J. and Candy together but by using the marquee and clone tool I completely removed A.J. from the picture. Having to learn how to use these tool properly for this chapter will definitely come into good use later on.

Funny Looking Girls

This is a picture I created with my own photos that I took for Chapter 1 Project 4: Body Transplants. The original picture was of Megan and Addie sitting on a desk. I had also taken a picture of the Jonas Brothers, Nick and Joe. I cut Nick and Joe’s head and pasted them onto Addie and Megan’s bodies. The faces fit almost perfectly and required just a few adjustments.

This was my first project ever for this class and this Adobe Fun Program so its not perfect but I'm okay with that because this portfolio is supposed to show my progress and I think you'll be able to see my progress when I'm finished with this blog assignment.
